The Role

As a Solution Consultant at Campfire, you will bridge the gap between our sales and product teams with our prospective customers, building proof of concepts and leading product demonstrations to show how the value of how AI-native accounting software solves real business challenges. This is a critical customer facing role that will help shape our go-to-market strategy and directly impact our growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of Campfire's technical accounting experts in sales and scoping conversations, converting complex accounting topics into product solutions in the software.

  • Demo the Campfire product and answer technical accounting questions on sales calls.

  • Identify customer pain points and challenges and collaborate with the product and engineering team to customize and build solutions.

  • Guide the future product roadmap by communicating customer insights to the product development team.

  • Build marketing materials and shape the evolving GTM strategy.

Qualifications

  • Deep accounting experience required. Our ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting and industry accounting experience in the technology space. CPA is a plus. Experience on accounting topics such as ASC606 revenue recognition, ASC830 foreign currency accounting, and ASC842 lease accounting is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of accounting workflows such as period close and JE approvals.

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Experience with accounting software or financial technology (prior solution consulting experience is a plus)

  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative sales approach

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build something from the ground up

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
