Work Location
This is a fully onsite role based at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource on Selector's operational analytics solution for networks, applications, and security workflows.
  • Take a hands-on role in the integration of Selector's platform to meet complex customer requirements, contributing feature-level Python code and maintaining scripts and automation workflows on a daily basis.
  • Lead or co-lead deployments of Selector's solution at customer sites, including gathering and translating data, workflow, and analytics requirements.
  • Ensure customers are thoroughly enabled for use, advanced understanding, and self-serve extensions of Selector's capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and partners for pre-sales activities, including technical demos and solution scoping.
  • Own design, development, and execution plans for POC engagements and drive them through to successful completion.
  • Act as a voice of the customer internally — contributing well-defined product enhancement proposals and participating in customer review cycles.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to accelerate integration work, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the quality and speed of technical deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3–6 years of professional experience in a solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong Python coding proficiency with a comfort level for writing and debugging code daily as a core part of the job — this is not an occasional scripting role.
  • Active use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI Codex as part of your everyday development workflow.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and/or Go.
  • Working experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and YAML-based configurations.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data; comfortable working in Jupyter notebooks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Meaningful experience with networking technologies (e.g., Data Center, WAN, SD-WAN, WiFi, DNS/DHCP, Load Balancing).
  • Familiarity with network analytics tooling and operational monitoring workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for customer-facing work — you should be energized by working directly with operators and engineering teams, not just the technical work itself.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $140,000 – $170,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, and may vary from the amount listed.
