Who We Are

Serval is an AI-native automation platform transforming how enterprises operate. We build intelligent agents that understand real-world workflows and execute them end-to-end — replacing manual processes and rigid legacy systems with adaptive, learning software. Founded in early 2024, Serval is already trusted by companies like Fox, Notion, Perplexity, Vercel, and Brex to automate high-volume, high-friction operational work across their organizations.
At the core of Serval is an agentic AI platform that turns natural language into production-grade workflows. Our agents don’t just respond to requests — they reason, take action across systems, and continuously improve with usage. What began with operational use cases has quickly evolved into a horizontal AI automation layer used across IT, HR, Finance, Security, Legal, and Engineering.
Our mission is to eliminate repetitive, manual work across the enterprise and give teams leverage through intelligent automation. Long term, we’re building the universal AI operations layer — a system of agents that sits across business functions and runs the workflows that keep modern companies moving.
We’re backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Meritech, First Round, General Catalyst, Elad Gil, and others.

Role Overview

As a Sourcer at Serval, you'll build and own our talent pipeline strategy from the ground up, spanning both technical and non-technical functions. You'll design and execute creative, high-impact sourcing initiatives that help us scale quickly while maintaining a high talent bar. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on the hunt—combining market expertise, strategic thinking, and creativity to proactively identify and engage top talent before roles are even open.

You'll be a crucial partner across the organization, collaborating closely with hiring managers in engineering, go-to-market, operations, and beyond to deeply understand talent needs and build diverse, high-quality pipelines. We're looking for a builder who's energized by research, relationship-building, and pioneering new ways to find exceptional people.

What You’ll Do
  • Build & Execute Sourcing Strategies: Develop creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies across both technical and non-technical functions, continuously iterating based on data and market signals.

Understand Hiring Needs: Partner with hiring managers across teams to develop accurate candidate profiles, map relevant talent markets, and prioritize pipeline efforts.

Engage Top Talent: Proactively identify, research, and reach out to passive candidates through LinkedIn, communities, events, referrals, and unconventional channels.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure pipeline quality, share market insights, and align sourcing efforts with broader talent strategy.

Build & Maintain Sourcing Infrastructure: Select and integrate tools like Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Wrangle to enable a scalable, data-driven sourcing process.

Champion Data-Driven Sourcing: Track and report key pipeline metrics—outreach rates, response rates, conversion rates—to identify what's working and continuously improve.

Stay Ahead of Talent Trends: Keep a pulse on emerging sourcing tools, platforms, and best practices to stay competitive across both technical and non-technical talent markets.

What You’ll Need
  • Sourcing experience in a fast-paced environment or B2B SaaS company, with demonstrated success sourcing across both technical and non-technical roles.

  • Breadth of Scope: Comfortable building pipelines for a wide range of profiles—engineers, product managers, salespeople, operators, and more.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with engineering roles and tech stacks, with the ability to engage credibly with technical candidates and understand what makes them tick.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success building high-quality pipelines, engaging hard-to-reach passive candidates, and supporting closures of top-tier talent.

  • Self-Motivated & Adaptable: Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments—able to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and focus.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Skilled at crafting compelling outreach, articulating the Serval story, and building genuine relationships with candidates over time.

  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using data to assess pipeline health, surface insights, and refine sourcing approaches.

Nice to Have
  • Previous experience as an early sourcer at a startup or high-growth company.

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, or Wrangle.

  • Experience building talent communities or passive candidate nurture programs.

What We Offer
  • Impact: Be a key player in shaping the success of our product and company.

  • Growth: Build a fundamentally new AI product offering with the support of our experienced team and investors. Grow rapidly with the company.

  • Culture: Join a culture that values innovation, ownership, accountability, and fun.
