About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Sourcing Analyst to join our Strategic Sourcing team based in Palo Alto, California. You will leverage your experience to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end to end strategic sourcing process, ensuring process compliance, and executing on Wing’s goals to scale services rapidly.
In this role, you will support the sourcing team, which enables the deployment, scaling, and operation of Wing’s drone delivery network by sourcing the infrastructure, logistics, and operational service partners required to launch and operate sites globally. You will partner closely with Launch, Field Operations, Engineering, and Network Planning teams to develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier ecosystems that support the build-out and operation of Wing’s network across multiple markets.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute sourcing strategies that enable the deployment, scaling, and operation of Wing’s global drone delivery network
- Support sourcing initiatives supporting network deployment across infrastructure, logistics, and operational service categories
- Manage sourcing initiatives across network infrastructure, operational logistics, and field operations services
- Source and manage suppliers supporting nest deployment, site infrastructure, and contractor services
- Support sourcing initiatives for logistics and warehousing providers, including transportation services, milk-run logistics, regional hub operations, and inventory storage solutions
- Support sourcing of field operations service partners, including maintenance, inspections, and reverse logistics providers responsible for repair, refurbishment, and recycling
- Engage and own the commercial relationship with service partners and be responsible for cost negotiations, supplier performance, continuity of service, and operational efficiency
- Partner with a broad mix of stakeholders on category strategy, contract negotiation strategy, contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation, including Technology, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and Internal Controls
- Develop strong relationships and be recognized as a trusted partner by cross functional stakeholders to influence business decisions
- Continually improve supplier performance by setting measurable contractual performance targets and managing supplier performance programs
- Build project plans and timelines to ensure key milestones are captured and delivered across sourcing initiatives
- Effectively communicate status updates to stakeholders, including timely identification and resolution of risks and issues
What You’ll Need:
- 3-6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain development, or supplier management
- Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience sourcing logistics networks, last mile or middle mile transportation, infrastructure deployment, field services, or operational service providers supporting rapidly scaling or hyperscale technology environments
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to toggle between strategic thinking and detailed execution
- Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence across multiple cross functional teams
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working in multinational environments and driving complex initiatives
