Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership from south cone operation regarding GSI LATAM. Responsible for maintaining and making available, as needed, complete and up-to-date project documentation and related information throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Develops specialized expertise within own discipline and serves as a reference for best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the latest technical developments in the area of expertise and contributes to the definition of strategies, policies, and functional priorities, ensuring effective execution within the scope of responsibility.
- Demonstrates deep understanding of industry best practices and how the function integrates with other business areas. Possesses practical knowledge of the competitive landscape and the differentiating factors that drive market positioning and operational performance.
- Applies a high level of judgment to make decisions and solve moderately complex problems across operational management, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Brings fresh perspective to existing solutions and leverages experience and technical expertise to analyze data and support sound recommendations. Uses a combination of internal and selected external sources to inform decisions and drive execution.
- Acts as a resource and mentor to less experienced colleagues and may lead small to mid-sized projects with moderate risk and resource requirements. Communicates complex, sensitive, or confidential information clearly and effectively, working across teams to build alignment and consensus. Demonstrates growing influencing and persuasion skills to drive outcomes across stakeholders within the function and beyond.
- In a regional leadership context, supports operational governance, prioritization of initiatives, and execution follow-up across the Southern Cone, helping balance business needs, resource allocation, delivery commitments, and strategic priorities. Contributes to portfolio visibility by tracking project progress, identifying execution risks, supporting decision-making, and promoting standardization and performance management across initiatives.
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in engineering;
- Solid demonstrated experience in project management, with a strong track record across the energy y/or oil and gas. Proven experience leading complex international projects across multiple countries in Latin America and Europe.
- Solid experience managing and executing contracts involving FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems), AIS (Air-Insulated Substations), and GIS (Gas-Insulated Substations), with a strong understanding of technical, commercial, and execution-related requirements in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in multicultural and cross-functional environments, driving project execution, stakeholder alignment, contractual compliance, and operational performance across diverse regional contexts.
- PMP certification;
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
