About 7AI

7AI is the foundational AI security company. Founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, we came out of stealth in February 2025 to take on the non-human work of the SOC. Our platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt, plus dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence, with humans on the loop.

Backed by $166 million in total funding from investors including Index Ventures and Blackstone, we're building the AI foundation for security operations in the agentic era, and we're still early. That's the appeal: you'll join at a pivotal stage where your work shapes what 7AI becomes, alongside security veterans who've built this before. Our culture runs on respect, collaboration, and a shared bar for excellence, all pointed at one goal, delivering real outcomes for the customers who trust us to defend them.

Overview

7AI is looking for a Sales Engineer in Chicago to join our go-to-market team as one of our first senior technical hires. You'll shape how we engage customers and help scale our technical sales motion. You'll partner with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to lead technical discovery, design solutions, and explain the value of our AI-powered cybersecurity platform to both technical and executive stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  • Lead technical sales conversations for high-value customer engagements.

  • Advise senior IT and security executives, understanding their threat landscape and technology environment.

  • Design and deliver technical demonstrations and POCs that show what the 7AI platform can do.

  • Work with Product and Engineering to turn customer feedback into product features and roadmap priorities.

  • Tailor solutions during Proof of Value engagements to support long-term customer success.

  • Mentor junior Sales Engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

  • Represent 7AI as a technical subject matter expert at industry conferences, panels, and partner events.

  • Improve pre-sales processes, tools, and documentation as the team scales.

What We're Looking For
  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity-focused Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer-facing technical roles.

  • Demonstrated success in complex B2B enterprise sales, preferably in fast-paced startup environments.

  • Expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and modern threat landscapes.

  • Experience working with AI/ML technologies in the security domain.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Track record in scripting, engineering, customization, and implementation.
