Team Overview

The Data Science and Analytics team delivers advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions that address complex business problems and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The team translates business strategy into scalable analytical solutions that generate measurable impact and partners closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders. This role reports to the Sr Manager, Data Science and Analytics. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • Own assigned analytics and data science workstreams from problem definition through delivery, translating business requirements into analytical approaches, models, dashboards, and actionable insights.

  • Build, validate, maintain, and document analytical solutions that support business decision-making and deliver measurable business impact.

  • Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, Python, SQL, BigQuery, and modern analytics libraries to solve complex business problems.

  • Ensure analytical outputs are reproducible, well documented, scalable, and aligned with established quality standards.

  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to frame analyses around business questions, strategic objectives, and intended outcomes.

  • Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly through reports, presentations, dashboards, and documentation tailored to stakeholder needs.

  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers in a timely manner while building productive cross-functional working relationships.

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen analytical processes through continuous learning and innovation.

  • Manage priorities across multiple assignments, use Jira and established team processes to track delivery, and share knowledge by documenting best practices and mentoring junior team members and interns.


Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Physics, or another quantitative field.

  • Two to four years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related field.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals, including their application to analytical business problems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables, manage priorities, and produce scalable, high-quality analytical solutions with moderate autonomy.

Required Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Python and SQL.

  • Advanced proficiency with BigQuery.

  • Experience working with modern ML (Machine Learning) ecosystems and analytics libraries.

  • Experience with cloud-based artificial intelligence and data platforms.

  • Ability to apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to business problems.
