Job Description:

Job Summary

This is a senior level position in application engineering. Responsibilities include defining and debugging analog IC products for automotive computing applications, providing technical support for key customers, developing reference circuits, and writing datasheets and application/design notes.

Essential Functions

  • Provide application technical support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers.

  • Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define and debug analog/digital IC products in DC/DC converters, core power conversion, and DrMOS applications.

  • Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for automotive computing markets.

  • Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.

Qualifications

  • MSEE or higher required

  • Hand-on experience in switch mode power supplies including DC/DC, AC/DC or inverters.

  • Previous experience with low voltage/high current multi-phase buck converter design/test/optimization for CPU/GPU power delivery applications is highly preferred.

  • Fluent communication skills in English

  • Excellent customer communication skills

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Previous experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company is a plus

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $100,000 - $160,000.
