Job Description:

MPS is looking for an experienced, driven and winning-attitude professional to drive the definition and development of High Power/High Voltage products for Automotive, Server Power, and Industrial markets as a Senior Applications Engineer.

Responsibilities include defining analog IC and module products, modeling EMI, developing and debugging reference circuits and IC prototype, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing application support and technical training.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define analog IC products in high power, isolated, and wideband gap solutions
  • Modeling EMI and design EMI reduction techniques and solutions
  • Work with customer and field application team to provide support on total high power sub-system solutions.
  • Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hand-on experience in automotive switch mode power supply designs and EMI modeling.
  • Self-motivated and can-do attitude.
  • Fluent communication skills in English. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Prior experience in supporting or defining high power IC or modeling high power IC related EMI is preferred.

  • BSEE or higher required

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $120,000 - $170,000.
