Job Summary: The Sr. Business Value Consultant (BVC) advises organizations on how to achieve their Positive Business Outcomes through the Firstup Platform. The Sr. BVC combines strategic consulting, communications expertise, and a data-driven approach to help customers strengthen their digital employee experience, optimize communication strategies, and measure impact against business goals. This role requires a consultative, analytically rigorous approach,  you are as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in an executive briefing. This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to deliver strategic guidance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive meaningful business outcomes through effective platform adoption and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Offer comprehensive best practice guidance to customers at various stages of their journey by facilitating workshops and working sessions that help them maximize the value of the Firstup platform. Provide strategic advisory support across content strategy, employee audiences, governance, and communication planning to ensure customers are positioned for long-term success.

  • Assist customers in establishing a data strategy to track progress toward and achievement of KPIs associated with Positive Business Outcomes. Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate communication effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies that improve adoption, engagement, and business impact.

  • Present strategic recommendations and insights to customer stakeholders, including senior leaders, helping connect communication strategies and platform use cases to broader organizational priorities, business outcomes, and measurable value. 

  • Collaborate closely with customers to develop and execute a content strategy that maximizes the impact of the Firstup platform. Guide publishers in following established best practices and adhere to a structured governance strategy, facilitating the delivery of timely and relevant content to target employee audiences. Drive alignment between content initiatives and overarching business objectives to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) within pods to proactively identify and mitigate risks in Enterprise accounts through expert communications guidance, strategic consultation, and ongoing support. Partner in identifying opportunities to strengthen customer health, retention, and growth.

  • Partner with the Presales team to showcase the company’s unique differentiation in communications design, strategy, and business impact, contributing to the acquisition of new business and successful deal closures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience

  • Five or more years of experience in professional services, SaaS customer success, or equivalent communications experience, preferably within an organization with $100M+ in ARR.

  • Demonstrated client relationship, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to successfully collaborate internally with multiple teams

  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies to drive business growth and customer success. Experience in leveraging data to uncover actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience owning the full value lifecycle, from discovery and diagnostic through business case development, executive presentation and post-sale validation

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable strategies.

  • Experience building business cases, ROI models, or value frameworks grounded in customer data, not assumptions.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to understand business objectives and align analytics initiatives to support them.

  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to execute against a defined methodology and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Operational knowledge of internal communication or HR platforms, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intranets, HRIS vendors, employee engagement vendors, or similar platforms preferred.

Firstup expects the base salary for this role to be between $80,000-$93,500. The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
