Your role on the team: (job description)
- Structures, drafts, and negotiates complex commercial agreements and contracts.
- Advises executives within the company and works alongside employees in the Contract Logistics, Transportation Management, and international business units in addition to Corporate Support functions.
- Advises executive team on contract statuses and legal risks in new commercial ventures.
- Manages various projects and deadlines.
- Provides training and development support to Paralegals within the department.
- Maintains strong working knowledge of legislative changes that may affect company, customers, and/or affiliates.
- Performs pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
- Effectively communicates legal risks with executive staff.
What you need: (requirements)
- Membership in good standing with at least one state bar required.
- Must be able to practice law in at least one state.
- 5+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney, preferably with experience in commercial transactions
- PC literate with a command of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
- Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to perform duties using project management principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Superior problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide clear and direct communications both verbally and in written form.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage own work.
- Self –motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
