They will help with developing, and maintaining standard costs, and analysing manufacturing variances. The position supports cost accounting month end close, reconciles inventory, prepares month end journal entries and works closely with manufacturing, supply chain, R&D and quality organizations to problem-solve on day-to-day work situations.

What You’ll Do

- Assist with all aspects of annual standard cost update.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost accounting activities and related financial analysis and reporting.
- Participate in the company's cycle count and year-end physical inventory programs.
- Assist in maintaining inventory / finance related data and system attributes within QAD. Work with Operations to improve business processes and efficiency.
- Assist in compliance with SOX control environment and support SOX IT compliance, as applicable.
- Build strong relationships across functions within the company and maintain an open flow of communication to build deep knowledge of current events in the business.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred, and 1+ years of cost accounting experience with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing accounting; or a combination of education/training and experience
- Experience in Biotech/Medical Device Manufacturing and public company experience a plus.
- Experience with QAD (preferred), proven record of working with Operations and R&D.
- Self-motivated and self-directed; conscientious approach to work assignments.
- Enjoys the challenges of multitasking while staying flexible to shift tasks frequently.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate and collaborate with non-accounting professionals.
- Demonstrated leadership and history of driving change in a growth environment.
- Must have strong Excel skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and complete ownership of area of responsibility.
- High degree of integrity including ability to successfully handle sensitive or confidential information.
- Ability to communicate and work with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
