This role is responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies for genomic testing solutions, ensuring alignment with clinical, scientific, and commercial objectives. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with R&D, clinical operations, marketing, sales, and executive leadership to deliver innovative, high-impact products that meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers and patients.

 

Education and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Biology, Life Sciences, or related field required

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) strongly preferred

Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role within molecular diagnostics, genomics, or related healthcare industry

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional product teams from concept to commercialization

  • Strong background in clinical diagnostics, precision medicine, or laboratory-developed tests (LDTs)

  • Proven ability to define product vision and drive innovation in a regulated environment (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA)

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for diagnostic genomic offerings

  • Partner with R&D and clinical teams to prioritize innovation and product differentiation

Portfolio Management:

  • Lead lifecycle management of existing products, ensuring performance, relevance, and profitability

  • Identify new market opportunities and evaluate product enhancements based on market and customer insights

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and commercial teams to develop effective go-to-market plans

  • Guide product positioning, pricing strategies, messaging, and launch readiness activities

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as the product thought leader and voice of the customer across cross-functional teams

  • Work with regulatory, legal, and compliance to ensure product adherence to quality and industry standards

Customer & Market Insight:

  • Monitor competitive landscape, customer feedback, and emerging clinical guidelines to inform product direction

  • Engage directly with key opinion leaders, clinicians, and partners to gather insights and shape strategy

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and associates

  • Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture of product innovation and accountability
