Job Summary

The Sr. Internal Wholesaler will be responsible for building relationships with our Bank and Independent Broker-Dealer partners to grow sales in the Financial Institutions channel. This position will partner with an external wholesaler (RVP) to create and execute sales, marketing, and distribution strategies to drive sales of F&G’s annuity products in your assigned territory. Looking for passionate and process-driven people to join our team as we expand our distribution in the registered representative space.

The Sr. Internal Wholesaler reports directly to the Director, Internal Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing Fixed, Fixed Indexed, & Registered Indexed-Linked Annuity sales with our Bank & Broker-Dealer partners by positioning and differentiating F&G from our core competitors
  • Work closely with assigned RVP partner to develop business & marketing plans to achieve appropriate market share at each Broker-Dealer (B-D) in your assigned territory
  • Demonstrate thorough, in-depth knowledge of F&G products, practices and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge and skills involving virtual sales and training tools, such as Microsoft Teams
  • Profile and segment the advisors in your territory to maximize your efficiency with targeted sales initiatives
  • Daily activities to include: significant and intentional outbound and inbound phone conversations, training webinars, fulfillment of marketing material requests, and more
  • Proficiency in utilizing all applications i.e.: company website, Salesforce, illustration software, F&G’s financial professional portal, and more
  • Responsible for executing outbound call and email campaigns to top producing advisors and top prospects related to F&G products, processes and people
  • Build relationships with other business units and key centers of influence inside F&G

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional work experience with demonstrated background in serving customers, working collaboratively across internal or external teams, problem solving, and the ability to effectively communicate both in small or large group settings.
  • 2+ plus years of experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
  • Highly knowledgeable regarding the annuity marketplace
  • Expert in utilizing illustration software and other sales tools to showcase our annuity solutions
  • General knowledge on capital markets and financial planning
  • Effective and articulate phone presenter and trainer
  • Previous sales experience desired in the bank and/or broker-dealer channel
  • Life Insurance License
  • Series 6 or 7 and 63 required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated strong sales, relationship management, and marketing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities
  • Superior communication skills - oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical
  • Creativity – ability to package often commonly available information and ideas in a creative way
  • High activity level – history of taking projects from start to finish; an attitude of doing the job
  • Strong problem solving, analysis skills and results oriented
  • Advanced knowledge MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Proficient with contact management applications (ie. Salesforce)

  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Some travel may be required
