Vantor is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to serve as a strategic finance partner to business and functional leaders while supporting pricing strategy and execution. This role will translate business priorities into financial plans, provide decision support for growth and investment opportunities, and develop pricing approaches that balance customer value, competitiveness, risk, and profitability. The Senior Manager will work closely with Finance, Sales, Business Development, Operations, Contracts, and executive leadership. 

Responsibilities

Finance Business Partnering 

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to assigned business or functional leaders, providing clear financial insights, constructive challenge, and actionable recommendations. 

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management for the supported organization. 

  • Analyze revenue, margin, cost, investment, and operational performance; identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and financial models to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, and long-range planning. 

  • Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership. 

Pricing and Growth Support 

  • Support pricing strategy and financial analysis for new business opportunities, renewals, product or service offerings, and strategic customer engagements. 

  • Partner with GTM, Commercial Deal Desk, Contracts, Operations, and other stakeholders to develop competitive, compliant, and financially sound pricing recommendations. 

  • Build and maintain pricing models incorporating cost structures, customer requirements, market dynamics, contractual considerations, risk, and target returns as needed. 

  • Evaluate deal economics, profitability, investment requirements, and pricing tradeoffs; facilitate reviews and approvals with senior stakeholders. 

  • Improve pricing governance, tools, methodologies, and performance reporting, including analysis of actual results against approved business cases. 

Leadership and Operational Excellence 

  • Establish priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations for the finance and pricing work within the assigned scope. 

  • Lead, coach, and develop finance talent, as applicable, while coordinating cross-functional teams through complex or time-sensitive decisions. 

  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, data quality, and process efficiency. 

  • Influence stakeholders across functions and levels, building alignment around financial recommendations and business tradeoffs. 

  • Leverage AI and automation tools to drive efficiencies and effectiveness within the USG finance community  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 

  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience or equivalent demonstrated experience in finance, FP&A, commercial finance, pricing, or a related discipline. 

  • Experience developing financial models, forecasts, business cases, and pricing or profitability analyses. 

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, revenue and cost drivers, margin analysis, and investment decision-making. 

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial information and communicate recommendations to executive audiences. 

  • Experience leading teams, major workstreams, or cross-functional initiatives. 

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using AI/automation tools. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Experience developing pricing strategies for complex products, services, subscriptions, or long-term contracts. 

  • Experience supporting government, aerospace, defense, geospatial, technology, or data-services businesses. 

  • Demonstrated experience serving as a finance business partner to senior business or functional leaders. 

  • Knowledge of government contracting, proposal pricing, cost estimating, FAR/CAS requirements, or related compliance frameworks. 

  • Experience with competitive analysis, price-to-win, sensitivity analysis, or portfolio pricing. 

  • Experience improving finance or pricing processes, governance, systems, and analytical tools. 

  • Experience managing and developing finance or pricing professionals. 

  • Ability to obtain a clearance 

Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $135,000.00 - $180,000.00 - $198,000.00 annually. ● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $149,000.00 - $198,000.00 - $217,800.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
