Who You Are

As the Senior Manager, People Operations, you'll oversee the daily functions of the People Operations Team, ensuring smooth management of compliance, immigration, and employee support. You will be the foundational expert responsible for administering core people programs, including benefits and leave administration, and driving operational excellence across the organization. You are someone who acts as a critical point of contact for employee inquiries, manages the daily workflow of the team, and maintains rigorous compliance with all employment laws and best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties  
  • Create, plan, and implement the People Operations strategy to support business needs, focusing on operational excellence and streamlined HR procedures.
  • Manage the full scope of employee benefits, leave of absence (LOA), workers' compensation, and US immigration programs, ensuring effective administration and compliance.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and compliance programs, including conducting policy reviews, handling disciplinary matters, and overseeing mandatory training documentation.
  • Handle all initial employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, acting as a critical first point of contact for the People Team.
  • Hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements 
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in People Operations or as an HR Generalist, with at least 5 years of direct supervisory or management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (including California and Washington), and experience developing clear, effective People policies and employee handbooks.
  • Strong expertise in managing complex People Operations programs, including employee benefits, leave administration (LOA), workers' compensation, and US immigration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems like ADP WorkforceNow and Greenhouse, or the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Exceptional organizational, conflict resolution, and written/verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Move items up to 15 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc. in a fixed location.

The starting base pay for this role is between $161,000 and $204,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. #LI-Onsite #LI-FM1
