We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help shape the future of PayPal’s payments platform. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product innovation and go-to-market execution. You’ll translate customer and market insights into strategy, craft positioning that sets us apart, and drive launches that fuel growth.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing to bring enterprise payments and value-added services innovations to market - from cutting-edge processing capabilities to risk, payouts, and optimization services. Your work will ensure PayPal is not just seen as a payments provider, but as the commerce infrastructure partner of choice for customers worldwide.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive product commercial success
  • Champion customer needs to ensure products address key pain points and deliver value
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature updates
  • Build a deep understanding of markets, competitors, and regulatory landscapes to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to gather customer feedback and refine product positioning
  • Support the launch of new markets and offers by coordinating with global and regional teams
  • Lead the prioritization and execution of marketing campaigns to increase adoption and market share
  • Provide expertise on product capabilities, value propositions, and best use cases
  • Monitor product performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Drive commercial readiness by developing positioning, messaging, and cross-channel launch strategies

Expected Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Strategy 

  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to inform product strategy and roadmap. 

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, translating insights from customers, partners, and sales into actionable recommendations for Product. 

  • Partner with Product and Commercial teams to define compelling value propositions across payments and value-added services. 

  • Conduct segmentation, market sizing, and opportunity assessments to shape business cases and product decisions. 

Go-To-Market 

  • Develop differentiated positioning and messaging that communicates the impact of our payments and commerce infrastructure platform. 

  • Lead global go-to-market plans for new product launches and enhancements across payments and value-added services. 

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive adoption, scale enablement, and create compelling narratives for client-facing teams. 

  • Track adoption and performance metrics, using data to refine GTM execution and optimize for growth. 

Cross-Functional & Leadership 

  • Collaborate across Product, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and flawless execution. 

  • Create sales tools, content, and enablement programs that support both new customer acquisition and expansion of existing relationships. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 6+ years of product marketing, product management, management consulting, or related experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or enterprise technology (B2B SaaS). 

  • Proven track record of driving successful global product launches. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into strategy and execution. 

  • Excellent storyteller, with experience crafting clear, compelling narratives for enterprise audiences. 

  • Comfortable operating cross-functionally in a large, global organization.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($143,500.00 - $212,850.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

Chicago, Illinois | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually) Austin, Texas | ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
