About the Role

The Sr. Manager, Product Marketing (Posh Live) sits at the intersection of Product, Growth, Community, and Content, working closely with the Director of Product Marketing and the GM of Posh Live. This role defines how Posh Live shows up to buyers and sellers - shaping positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and growth for Poshmark's live shopping product.

Critically, this role starts from the buyer. You will build a deep, first-hand understanding of why and how buyers discover, watch, and purchase through live shows, and use that understanding to define what it takes for a brand or enterprise seller to actually succeed on Show. Seller-facing value propositions, enablement content, and playbooks should all be grounded in real buyer behavior and demand - not written from the seller side in. This role is both strategic and highly hands-on, with day-to-day cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

Buyer Insight as the Foundation for Seller Success

  • Build a deep, data-informed understanding of buyer behavior on Show: discovery and viewing patterns, what drives watch time and purchase, category and price sensitivity, and trust/loyalty drivers.

  • Translate buyer insight into a clear point of view on what makes a show, host, or category successful - and use that to define what "good" looks like for brand and enterprise sellers.

  • Continuously feed buyer-side learnings back into seller-facing strategy, content, and product requirements.

Brand and Enterprise Seller Value Proposition and Playbooks

  • Define the value proposition for brand and enterprise sellers hosting on Show, anchored in demonstrated buyer demand rather than assumptions.

  • Build and maintain playbooks that help brand and enterprise hosts plan, run, and optimize shows - grounded in what actually drives buyer engagement and conversion.

  • Partner with Supply/Partnerships and Merchandising to ensure onboarding, enablement, and success materials for brand/enterprise sellers reflect current buyer insight.

  • Define success metrics for brand/enterprise sellers on Show and identify the levers that most reliably improve them.

  • Establish comprehensive seller educational programs and trust guidelines that teach enterprise brands how to maintain compliance, protect their reputation, and build long-term buyer loyalty during live broadcasts.

Product Narrative, Positioning, and Messaging

  • Define value propositions and messaging frameworks for buyers and sellers across the Show experience — discovery, live interactions, hosting tools, and checkout.

  • Develop clear, compelling narratives that translate the mechanics of live shopping into simple, user-centric benefits for both sides of the marketplace.

  • Ensure consistent storytelling across in-product, lifecycle, marketing, and external channels.

GTM Strategy for Launches and Enhancements

  • Lead GTM strategy for new Show features and enhancements, including:

    • Feature positioning and differentiation

    • Target segmentation across buyer segments and host tiers (including brand/enterprise)

    • Rollout plans, pilots, and experimentation frameworks

    • Launch KPIs, adoption goals, and success measurement

  • Partner closely with Product, Growth, and Analytics to execute launches with impact.

6-Month Accomplishments

Built a rigorous, buyer-first understanding of Show

  • Synthesized qualitative and quantitative insight into why and how buyers discover, watch, and purchase on Show.

  • Identified 2-3 high-leverage buyer insights that directly inform seller strategy, messaging, or the product roadmap.

Defined the brand/enterprise seller value proposition and first playbook

  • Published a clear, buyer-grounded value proposition for brand and enterprise sellers hosting on Show.

  • Shipped a first version of a seller playbook, built from buyer/engagement data rather than seller assumptions.

Established a clear, unified Show product narrative

  • Developed and socialized a core messaging and positioning framework for buyers and sellers.

  • Aligned cross-functional partners on who Show is for, what problem it solves, and why it matters.

Built a strong cross-functional operating cadence

  • Established trusted working relationships with Product, Growth, Data Analytics, Supply/Partnerships, and the GM's team.

  • Defined clear GTM roles, responsibilities, and decision rights for major launches.

12+ Month Accomplishments

Made brand/enterprise seller success a repeatable, buyer-grounded motion

  • Evolved playbooks and enablement materials into a durable system that scales with new brand/enterprise sellers.

  • Demonstrated clear improvement in brand/enterprise seller outcomes (e.g., show performance, conversion, repeat hosting) tied to buyer insight-driven changes.

Institutionalized product marketing excellence for Show

  • Embedded consistent positioning and storytelling across in-product, lifecycle, and external channels.

  • Created durable frameworks and tooling that enable the team to scale launches and messaging efficiently.

Driven measurable adoption and engagement outcomes

  • Demonstrated clear impact on buyer watch time, conversion, repeat viewership, and show volume.

  • Improved launch performance through experimentation, segmentation, and iteration.

Influenced Show strategy through user and market insight

  • Regularly surfaced actionable insights that shape Show's roadmap and go-to-market decisions.

  • Helped identify new growth opportunities across categories, buyer segments, or seller tiers.

Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or lifecycle marketing, ideally at a marketplace, social commerce, or live/video commerce company.

  • Demonstrated ability to build deep consumer/buyer insight and translate it into seller- or partner-facing strategy and enablement.

  • Experience building playbooks or enablement materials for B2B2C partners, brands, or enterprise accounts is a strong plus.

  • Track record of driving adoption and engagement for a product in an early or scaling phase.

  • Strong ability to translate complex product mechanics into clear, user-centric value propositions.

  • Comfort working with data and analytics to define success, measure impact, and inform decisions.

  • Strong collaborator with experience influencing without authority across Product, Growth, Supply/Partnerships, and Analytics.

  • Excellent written and verbal storytelling skills, comfortable writing for both consumer and brand/enterprise audiences.

  • Bias toward action, testing, and iteration; comfort operating in ambiguity.

  • Genuine interest in resale, social commerce, and/or live shopping formats is a strong plus.
