As a Sr. Principal Solutions Architect for Network Interconnect Technology, you will play a critical role in defining how Micron's memory and storage technologies connect, scale, and deliver value in next-generation AI and datacenter systems. This role blends long-term vision with hands-on technical leadership, customer engagement, and ecosystem influence. You will help set strategy, guide architecture decisions, and translate emerging interconnect technologies into real system and business impact.
Responsibilities:
  • Own Micron's long-term network and optical interconnect strategy aligned to AI-scale and hyperscale datacenter needs
  • Define system and interconnect architectures across electrical and optical fabrics, endpoints, and scale-up/scale-out topologies
  • Lead deep technical engagements with hyperscale customers and ecosystem partners to evaluate trends and drive adoption
  • Translate architectural direction into product requirements and roadmaps with business, R&D, and engineering teams
  • Communicate system-level tradeoffs and recommendations clearly to senior technical and executive audiences

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in optical interconnect, high-speed networking, silicon photonics, or datacenter system architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in system-level interconnect architecture, high-speed I/O, or AI/datacenter fabrics
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Proven ability to engage strategically with customers and industry partners

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in hyperscale, AI infrastructure, or network interconnect domains
  • Hands-on experience with system modeling, simulation, or prototype evaluation
  • Experience influencing or participating in industry standards and ecosystems
  • Background supporting business cases, partnerships, or M&A and investment evaluations
  • MBA or equivalent experience in business or investment strategy

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$148,000.00 - $308,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
