About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Sr. Product Manager 1 - Technical in San Jose, CA 

What you will accomplish: 
Job Duties: Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Promoted Listings Ads for consumer-to-consumer (C2C) sellers on eBay, including prioritization of  features based on quantitative opportunity analysis and alignment with company-wide objectives. Develop new features across eBay’s native app and web platform to enhance sellers’ experience and drive Promoted Listings Ads adoption and retention in alignment with overall strategy and organizational goals. Define detailed product requirements for feature development, ensuring clarity for Engineering and cross-functional teams. Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and leadership around upcoming features and capabilities. Conduct A/B tests and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the business impact of new feature rollouts, in partnership with Data Science and Analytics teams. Complete seller interviews and usability testing, ensuring product design aligns with seller needs and promotes product adoption. Work closely with eBay leadership and internal teams to understand strategic direction and the ads portfolio. Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Machine Learning teams to design and deliver data-driven features that optimize ad campaign performance. Part-time telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements: 

1.    Product management experience in online advertising (1 year)
2.    Full lifecycle product delivery  (1 year)
3.    Developing and launching new customer-facing workflows  
4.    Delivering value to customers  
5.    Solving complex problems creatively to meet goals
6.    Working with a variety of people ranging acrows technical levels 
7.    Analytics tools meant for product management such as Tableau and Amplitude  
8.    AI/ML driven product development  
9.    Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership

Salary: $181,293.00-238,200.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

Additional Details

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
