Lucid Software is the leader in visual collaboration and work acceleration, helping teams see and build the future by turning ideas into reality. Our products, business, and workplace culture have received numerous awards, such as being named to the Forbes Cloud 100 and a Fortune Best Workplace in Technology. Lucid is a hybrid workplace, allowing employees to work remotely, from one of our offices, or a combination of the two depending on the needs of the role and team. At Lucid, we hold true to our core values of teamwork over ego, innovation in everything we do, individual empowerment, initiative, and ownership, and passion and excellence in every area. We value diverse perspectives and are dedicated to creating an environment that is respectful and inclusive for everyone.
As a Senior Project Manager, AI, you will be the bridge between visionary strategy and rigorous execution. You will architect the roadmap for our AI evolution, ensuring every initiative translates into measurable business impact. We are looking for a strategic project leader who deeply understands the current AI landscape and possesses the technical intuition to distinguish between a flashy demo and a production-ready solution. You will thrive in this role if you are able to manage a very large portfolio of projects and stakeholders while maintaining relentless delivery timelines and ensuring every deployment directly moves the needle on enterprise revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio ROI Management: You will collaborate with EMG members to curate a portfolio of AI initiatives (ranging from foundational "quick wins" to high-impact "agentic moonshots").
  • Champions Group Orchestration: Lead and upskill the cross-functional AI Champions Group. You will provide the technical frameworks and strategic guidance to ensure departmental "Power Users" are building high-value solutions that align with the enterprise roadmap.
  • The 'Maintenance Tax' Gatekeeper: Audit every proposed project for long-term viability. You are responsible for ensuring the "cost to maintain" does not cannibalize the "value realized." You will enforce a "Portfolio Floor," rejecting low-impact point solutions that create excessive tech debt.
  • Security & Tech Debt Governance: Serve as the primary proxy for the VP of Tech & Security. You will ensure all "Champion-led" builds occur within the approved, secure AI sandbox, preventing "Shadow AI" while maintaining high implementation velocity.
  • Operational Logic Mapping: Move departments from passive AI (summaries) to active AI (operational logic). You will identify systemic "process leaks"—such as billing errors or sales handoff friction—and design agentic workflows to "self-heal" these gaps.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Develop a unified AI Impact Scorecard for the EMG and CFO. You will provide monthly transparency into the cumulative progress towards identified goals/metrics, highlighting which initiatives are scaling and which should be killed.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of Strategic Operations: Experience managing complex technical portfolios or "Centers of Excellence" where you were responsible for multi-million dollar efficiency or revenue targets.
  • Constructive Candor: You are adept at delivering hard truths about resource allocation in a way that feels like a partnership, not a "No" department. You know how to pivot a team's energy from a "cool" project to a "material" one while keeping them excited to build and without stifling their creative momentum.
  • Systems Thinking & Architecture: Deep understanding of how data flows across an enterprise. You can see how a "Search" tool in Sales eventually feeds into an "Automated Outreach" agent.
  • Technical Literacy (AI/ML): Practical knowledge of the current AI stack (LLMs, Vector DBs, RAG, and Agentic Orchestration). You can distinguish between a "Vibe-coded" demo and a production-ready system.
  • Governance & Security Mindset: A background that includes working within security, compliance, or legal guardrails. You believe that "Security is a feature, not a hurdle."
  • Executive Influence: The ability to walk into a CRO’s or COO’s office and pivot their strategy from "shiny new tools" to "P&L-impacting workflows."
  • Prioritization Mastery: A proven "No" filter. You can ruthlessly prioritize a portfolio of 50 ideas down to the 5 that will actually move material impact metric.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite (specifically using Lucidchart to map complex sales processes).
  • Previous experience in a "Foundational AI" role where you built a system from the ground up.
