Design, build, test, and maintain backend applications using FastAPI and SQLAlchemy. Implement database schemas, integrate front-end components, optimize for performance and scalability, debug issues, participate in code reviews, and collaborate on feature design. Maintain clean, testable code and stay current with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using FastAPI.
- Design and implement database models and schemas using SQLAlchemy.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure we are always using the best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ yeas of experience in application development
- Proven experience as a Python developer, with a strong focus on FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.
- Solid understanding of object-relational mapping (ORM) and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle or MySQL relational databases.
- Strong experience in pytest
- Experience with MongoDB is a big plus
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular) is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Nice to have:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
