Job Description SummaryThe Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing customer relationships and leading the GE Gas Power strategy across an assigned customer base. Responsible for driving orders, commitments, and revenue across all GE Gas Power Heavy Duty Services. They will manage the customer relationship for accounts in their respective region and lead deal negotiations / closure with customers partnering with commercial operations to develop winning strategies and achieve order closure.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of accurate / current project, opportunity and transactional outage information in CRM system

  • Understand industry and market dynamics to develop business opportunities, achieving winning solutions for customers

  • Develop long term, strategic plans by customer to drive penetration and growth

  • Continuously monitor and drive the development of the opportunity pipeline for regional opportunities

  • Own a coordinated ‘one face to the customer’ across the products, and develop and own account plans

  • Drive orders, sales, cash and contribution margin (CM) growth

  • Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs while meeting GE’s business goals

  • Create proposals for transactional outage opportunities with nominal values using quick quotes, templates, and Microsoft Word

  • Interface with Commercial Operations, Service Execution teams, and other functional groups as required as part of an integrated Customer Team to grow the GE Power Services Gas North America business with customers in assigned sub region

  • Drive a sales pipeline on complex, multi-offering transactions that may include Parts, Repairs, Outage Services, Performance Upgrades, Digital Solutions, and Long Term Service Agreements

  • Lead deal strategy development and reviews with cross functional teams

  • Coordinate with Specicalty Sales Managers and Service Execution teams to enhance outage planning process, thus expanding outage scopes

  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer strategy / profile / requirements, including outage schedules and competitor actions

  • Share knowledge internally and use market knowledge to drive sales opportunities with customers

  • Maintain and grow customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Provide demand forecasting and pacing support to Sales Operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or an associate degree / relevant technical certification plus 3 years of relevant industry experience. ​

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management or Customer Service in the Power Generation industry

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $128,400.00 and $213,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: sales incentive.
