Position Information

 


Position Overview

The Sr. Solution Executive, MedTech & Digital Sponsorships, is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling HealthStream’s Medical Technology solutions and digital sponsorship offerings. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across medical device, pharmaceutical, and healthcare-related organizations by aligning customer needs with innovative solutions, including platform products, digital content integrations, and sponsorship packages across HealthStream applications. 

Through a consultative sales approach, this individual builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, develops strategic partnerships, and delivers compelling value propositions that leverage HealthStream’s ecosystem of applications, websites, and learning solutions. The Sr. Solution Executive owns the full sales cycle—from prospecting through close—while managing a robust pipeline and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets. 

HealthStream owns the #1 rated and most adopted app for nurses – Nursegrid – the leading application engaging clinical students – myClinicalExchange – and numerous other websites that engage millions of nurses, allied health professionals, and physicians. Building from our base of medical technology brands that work with us to distribute value-added content & learning experiences across our network, we are looking for a self-starter to lead the expansion of brand partnerships to new categories of endemic sponsors.   


 

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Drive revenue through the sale of MedTech solutions, digital sponsorships, advertising, and integrated marketing offerings 
  • Drive sales for media offerings, including digital experiences, digital ads and listings, sponsored content, whitepapers, and newsletters; Secondarily, develop and execute a sales strategy for flagship digital and live events, including webinars, roundtables, conferences 
  • Present creative marketing solutions that help brands and their marketing agencies leverage HealthStream’s network of apps and sites along with its social channels  
  • Deliver campaign effectiveness reports to clients, including reach, traffic, engagement, lead generation, and ROI/ROAS 
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and industry engagement 
  • Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities by aligning customer needs with tailored solutions and securing stakeholder buy-in 
  • Develop and present compelling proposals, including product demonstrations, sponsorship packages, and ROI-driven business cases 
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet customer objectives and company revenue goals 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive renewals, retention, and upsell opportunities 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver solutions aligned with client goals and organizational capabilities 
  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting 
  • Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans 
  • Deliver post-sale support and performance reporting, including campaign effectiveness and ROI metrics 
  • Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including security and data protection requirements 
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 7+ years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in healthcare, MedTech, and/or digital media/sponsorship sales 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in competitive environments 
  • Experience selling to and building relationships with executive-level stakeholders 

 

Qualifications

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills 
  • Ability to develop creative, value-driven proposals and sponsorship offerings 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales pipeline management 
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate performance metrics (ROI, engagement, etc.) 
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed team environment 
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of accountability and ownership 
  • Capable of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect solutions to customer outcomes 
  • Ability to present complex solutions in a clear, compelling manner 
  • Highly driven to achieve individual and team sales goals 
  • Willingness to travel up to ~25% 

Compensation

  • This role features a base salary plus commission with a targeted split of 50% base / 50% variable. At quota, your On-Target Earnings (OTE) are comprised of the base salary and commissions, with the potential of additional uncapped earnings through bonuses and accelerators when exceeding performance targets (quota). The base salary range for this position is $70,350 - 82,500 with an OTE of $140,700 - $165,000. Base salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.
