As a small, agile team, we’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who can independently lead design initiatives from exploration through implementation. Design is one of NovoEd's key differentiators. What Will You Do?
  • Design scalable, collaborative, and social online learning experiences used by Fortune 500 companies, universities, and training organizations
  • Own 1-2 major projects at any time, serving as the design lead who shapes solutions from initial problem exploration through final implementation
  • Partner closely with the product management team to frame problems, define project scope, explore multiple design approaches, and make well-reasoned recommendations
  • Provide production-ready mocks and assets, and work closely with engineers to balance quality and feasibility
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and understand user goals
  • When challenges arise, proactively align stakeholders, propose solutions, and adjust scope as needed
  • Help shape the future of our product by contributing to product strategy and roadmap discussions
What Skills Are Needed For This Role?Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience designing products that have been used by end users and clients at scale
  • Proven track record of solving complex real-world problems with strategic thinking and elegant, user-centered solutions
  • Proficiency with the full design toolkit: wireframing, user flows, high-fidelity mocks, prototyping, user interviews, and usability testing
  • Expert-level skills with design tools like Figma, including advanced features like components and design libraries
  • Experience maintaining visual and interaction consistency by working within established design systems and contributing to their evolution
  • Strong visual design foundation with attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles
  • Experience designing responsive Web/Mobile experiences
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS and development constraints
  • Experience designing AI-powered features that enhance user workflows and personalize experiences is a plus
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools to accelerate workflows is a plus

Independent ownership: You can take projects from problem definition through execution, managing stakeholder relationships and driving decisions without constant guidance. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity during early exploration phases and can synthesize unclear requirements into actionable design directions

Collaborative leadership: You excel at building productive relationships with cross-functional partners of varying experience levels, from PMs to engineers

Strategic communication: You present complex ideas clearly, anticipate concerns, and lead productive discussions that result in actionable outcomes

Adaptive problem-solving: You stay focused on core problems while remaining flexible when new information or priorities emerge

User-centered intuition: You balance data-driven decisions with cognitive empathy, making confident design choices even when complete research isn't available
