Summary

We're looking for a Workplace Employee Experience Manager in San Francisco to shape and continuously improve the day-to-day workplace experience at Temporal. You'll develop and deliver a cohesive workplace experience strategy that supports employees working remotely, from WeWork locations, and in person. This role brings together workplace operations, employee experience, and event planning to create an environment where every employee feels connected, supported, and equipped to do their best work.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and evolve Temporal's workplace experience strategy, creating a consistent and positive employee experience across all work environments.
  • Design and deliver virtual and in-person engagement programs that foster connection, belonging, and collaboration for employees working remotely and in office.
  • Oversee Temporal's WeWork and office experience, including space planning, access, vendor relationships, and budget management.
  • Create experiences that thoughtfully include remote employees in events and programs, ensuring meaningful participation regardless of location.
  • Lead end-of-year celebrations and employee milestone programs, coordinating timelines and cross-functional partnerships to deliver inclusive experiences and company swag at scale.
  • Partner with People Operations, IT, Finance, Developer Relations, and business leaders to align workplace initiatives with employee and business needs.
  • Create and maintain workplace resources in Notion and other tools, ensuring information is accessible, current, and easy to navigate.
  • Gather employee feedback and measure program effectiveness, using insights to continuously improve workplace experiences.
  • Evolve workplace and employee experience programs as the company grows, balancing scalability with a personalized employee experience.
  • Partner with Facilities, IT, and external vendors to support building access, workplace operations, and security processes.
What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience in workplace experience, employee programs, workplace operations, corporate real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience managing workplace operations and vendor relationships, including offices, coworking spaces, or real estate partners.
  • Experience planning and coordinating cross-functional programs from idea through implementation while managing multiple priorities.
  • A track record of planning and delivering employee events, offsites, or engagement programs with thoughtful attention to both employee experience and logistics.
  • Collaborative relationship-building skills and experience working across People, IT, Finance, Facilities, and business teams.
  • Clear, thoughtful communication skills, with the ability to create structure, provide clarity, and develop employee resources that are approachable and easy to use.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, using employee feedback and data to enhance programs and experiences over time.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience supporting a globally distributed workforce across multiple time zones.
  • Background in employee engagement, workplace culture, or internal communications.
  • Experience creating inclusive workplace programs that effectively engage both remote and in-person employees.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $200,000 to $250,000
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan.

Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
