We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Staff Sales Account Manager responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share across Renesas’ comprehensive portfolio.

As a Staff Sales Account Manager for AI-based applications, with a strong focus on high-growth revenue opportunities in Humanoid Robotics, Physical AI, Edge Computing, and IoT, you will be accountable for identifying, prioritizing, and accelerating the fastest paths to revenue growth across the San Francisco Bay Area region. Your primary mission is to profile winning customers, applications, and ecosystem partners; convert early traction into scalable design wins; and drive sustained revenue expansion across Renesas’ portfolio, including Embedded Processing, Power, Analog Mixed Signal, and Software Digitalization Product Groups

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, proven track record of leading sales teams to exceed targets, and the technical acumen to champion Renesas full-system solutions.

Strategic Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Profile, prioritize, and pursue the fastest-growing Humanoid Robotics, Physical AI, Edge Computing, and AI revenue opportunities across startups, scale-ups, and high-growth established customers.
  • Identify emerging AI market inflection points and proactively position Renesas to capture share in high-growth segments such as Humanoid Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Industrial AI, Edge Intelligence, and Physical AI.
  • Drive adoption of Renesas’ full portfolio, with a focus on cross-selling integrated solutions across Embedded Processing, Analog, Power, and Software Digitalization tools.
  • Accelerate go-to-market execution by aligning reference designs, partner offerings, product roadmaps, and channel strategies to revenue priorities.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to penetrate high-growth markets and convert early customer engagement into scalable design wins.
  • Maintain an accurate, data-driven sales forecast and demand-generation pipeline using Enterprise CRM and Business Intelligence tools. 

Customer Management:

  • Establish trusted executive relationships with C-level stakeholders, engineering leaders, and business sponsors to influence technology adoption, strategic direction, and long-term investment decisions.
  • Partner closely with Product Lines, Product Groups, FAE, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams to align Renesas roadmaps with customer requirements.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations to secure long-term business agreements and maximize profitability.
  • Own early opportunity qualification and deal strategy, ensuring focus on customers with clear scale, funding, and production potential.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Product Line, and Application Engineering teams to build, manage, and close a strong pipeline from discovery through volume production.

Market Leadership & AI Strategy

  • Act as Renesas’ market advocate for Humanoid Robotics, Physical AI, Edge AI, Edge Computing, and IoT opportunities across the San Francisco Bay Area region.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights that influence product roadmaps, investment priorities, and revenue strategy.
  • Champion high-growth AI opportunities and help shape long-term business strategy within the assigned customer base.
  • Identify ecosystem partners, platform trends, and emerging customer requirements that can accelerate Renesas’ position in next-generation AI-enabled systems.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of technical and executive sales experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and scale new revenue opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Strong understanding of embedded processing, analog, power, AI-based applications, edge computing, robotics, or related semiconductor solutions.
  • Highly results-driven with a growth-oriented mindset, demonstrating persistence, creativity, and strategic rigor.
  • Self-directed, analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to quality execution.
  • Technically proficient and comfortable selling to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills across internal and external organizations.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and tenacity, with a proven track record of driving complex opportunities to successful business outcomes despite obstacles and ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to prioritize opportunities based on revenue impact.
  • Existing relationships with key AI, Humanoid Robotics, Edge Computing, Physical AI, or Edge Processing customers are a strong advantage.

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $190,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
