Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
Perform and analyze account reconciliations and investigate variances
Prepare monthly sales and use tax filing
Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies
Reconcile and administer company credit card accounts
Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation
Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies
Accounts payable processes and vendor statement reconciliations. Maintain relationships with vendors
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and accruals
Respond to employee and vendor inquiries in a timely, professional, and solution oriented manner
Provide support to the Accounting Manager and Controller as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management abilities

- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workloads efficiently
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Skilled in performing thorough data quality checks to maintain accuracy and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a plus
- Familiarity with the retail or fashion industry is an advantage
