About the Role

Hi, I'm Dmitri Grozenok, Senior Manager of Onboarding product development team at Jane. I've been here for about a year, currently leading a team of eight developers working on a mission that's genuinely different from typical product work.

The Onboarding team sits at a critical moment in a clinic's journey with Jane - right after they sign up but before they become successful power users. We don't own huge chunks of code. Instead, we reach across multiple domains to solve the hardest activation and retention problem in our business: getting new customers through their first critical days so they fall in love with Jane. Our metrics are churn and activation rate - which sounds simple until you realize we don't own half the levers that move them. That's what makes this work so interesting.

We run a lot of experiments. Small projects, feature toggles, rapid iteration, constant learning. That's how we move the needle.

I'm looking for someone who thrives in that mode - someone who wants to move fast and see results quickly, who's excited about using AI to both build better and teach the team to build smarter. If you love hacking on solutions and lifting others up, this is the role.

What Impact We're Looking for You to Make
  • Move the team from idea to validated learning in days, not weeks - ship experiments quickly, measure ruthlessly, and help us decide what's worth building further

  • Partner across product domains to unblock activation challenges that no single team owns - connect the dots between signup, onboarding, charting, and beyond to create frictionless experiences

  • Lift the team's AI literacy and development velocity by modeling how to use generative tools in your workflow and teaching others to do the same

  • Make architectural decisions and trade-offs that balance speed with sustainability - know when to hack and when to invest in proper engineering

  • Deliver meaningful results consistently while maintaining a culture where the team feels safe experimenting, learning, and iterating

What Experience We Need
  • 8+ years of software development, with at least 3+ years working on growth, product, or infrastructure challenges at scale

  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly and ship work in rapid cycles - ideally in a product or experimental context

  • Strong working knowledge of modern development workflows, generative AI tools, and how to use them effectively in production environments

  • Comfort making architectural and technical trade-offs in ambiguous situations - you don't need all the answers, but you need good judgment

  • Track record of mentoring and upleveling other engineers through example, collaboration, and clear communication

If you don't meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

More About Jane

We build the products and tools that thousands of clinics rely on every day to run their businesses, care for their patients, and grow their communities. That level of impact means every person at Jane plays an important role in how we show up for our customers. Jane is growing fast, and that growth brings exciting challenges that call for adaptability, resilience, learning agility, and humility. We're proud of what we've built and quick to admit what we don't know yet. We listen, learn, and adjust as we go.

We're also embracing the possibilities of AI, using it to work smarter, improve our systems, and create even better experiences for our customers and our team.

Compensation

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $168,400 to $262,500. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $199,500. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.

We believe in paying for growth. You’ll have regular career development conversations with your manager and your compensation will grow as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Paying clearly is one of our compensation fundamentals. Watch this short video to learn how our salary bands are set. You’re also encouraged to ask questions about compensation at any point during the interview process.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package. You can learn more about it here!

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
