Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive.

We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

You will own one of the most impactful levers for brand success and growth: pricing. As the Staff PM for Brand Pricing, your mission is to help brands offer compelling, competitive prices that drive sales — building the tools, insights, and experiences that make it easy for brands to set the right prices, and for retailers to identify the smartest buying choices for their stores.

Pricing is a complex problem that sits at the intersection of brand economics, retailer buying behavior, and marketplace dynamics. You'll design products that help brands understand how their pricing is performing, surface opportunities to grow their sales through smarter pricing decisions, and reduce the friction that gets in the way of keeping prices up to date. You'll work closely with engineering, data science, operations, and go-to-market teams — and bring a sharp point of view on where to invest to drive the most meaningful outcomes for brands and the marketplace.

If you love complex marketplace dynamics, have strong intuitions about how pricing affects buyer behavior, and get excited about building products that create real, measurable value for small business owners — this is the role for you.

What you’ll do

  • Deeply understand both our brand and retailer customers so that you can build the strategies and frameworks that define how Faire thinks about pricing across the marketplace — balancing brand economics, retailer trust, and long-term marketplace growth.
  • Own the pricing roadmap end-to-end. Define strategy and sequencing across insights (helping brands understand their pricing performance), tools (making it easy to keep prices current and competitive), and the underlying data that powers it all.
  • Build brand-facing products that drive growth. Create intuitive tools and workflows — from price management interfaces to intelligent recommendations — that make it easy for brands to act on pricing opportunities and grow their sales on Faire.
  • Invest in data foundations. Partner with engineering and data science to build the data infrastructure that powers pricing insights and recommendations at scale.
  • Be the voice of tradeoffs. Use analytics and frameworks to guide decisions about where to invest, when to build vs. buy, and how to balance brand experience with marketplace outcomes. Present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • You have 8+ years of experience in product at a high-growth tech startup or as a startup founder.
  • You are good at deeply understanding customer needs and underlying motivations, especially in spaces where customers aren’t great at predicting how changes will impact their behavior
  • You’re an inspiring leader who is excited about the day-to-day of understanding our customers and working with a strong team to build improvements for them.
  • You’re an extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time.
  • You are relentlessly resourceful. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen. Even when the work is hard, you power through it and execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • You are a creative problem-solver. You excel at identifying unintuitive solutions to tough problems.
  • You are passionate. You are optimistic with a positive energy that other people draw upon.
  • You care deeply about developing products and solutions that will create the best experience for our customers.
