About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards. The Growth team's mission is to drive step-function change in how Robinhood acquires and retains net new users. Beyond our traditional product-led growth (PLG) motion, we are spinning up a dedicated pod focused exclusively on zero-to-one bets—net new initiatives that have the potential to become long-term, durable growth engines for Robinhood. This is where we place bigger, bolder swings: ideas that don't yet have a playbook and that could fundamentally reshape our growth trajectory. We are a collaborative, passionate group ready to make a massive impact!

As a Staff Product Manager, you will lead this zero-to-one charter. You'll identify, incubate, and launch entirely new growth initiatives—moving fast to validate whether an idea has real traction, doubling down where the signal is strong, and pivoting decisively where it isn't. You'll pair sharp product intuition with analytical rigor, building growth loops that compound while solving real, specific user needs. This is an opportunity to define a new motion for the company from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our long-term growth trajectory!

This role is based in our New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you'll do
  • Identify, incubate, and launch zero-to-one growth bets that create step-function change in how Robinhood acquires and retains net new users
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for a new, dedicated growth charter that sits beyond our traditional PLG motion
  • Lead a collaborative team of engineers, designers, data scientists, marketers, and researchers to take initiatives from idea to launch
  • Design and build growth loops that compound acquisition and retention over time
  • Use experimentation, analytics, and tight partnership with data scientists to ruthlessly prioritize, measure traction quickly, and decide when to scale or when to pivot
  • Translate specific user needs and pain points into product solutions—balancing the craft of building something people love with the analytical ability to know what actually drives growth
What you bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of product management experience building high-quality consumer products
  • Growth expertise: Multiple years working across the growth funnel—acquisition, activation, resurrection, and/or retention. You're deeply analytical, fluent in experimentation, partner closely with data scientists, and have a track record of building growth loops
  • Core product expertise: Multiple years in core product roles where you solved specific user needs and pain points and shipped features explicitly aimed at addressing them
  • The rare combination of both: product intuition and product sense to build something users love, paired with the analytical discipline to prioritize ruthlessly, validate ideas fast, and recognize when to pivot
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A scrappy, self-starting approach—comfortable operating with ambiguity and no established playbook
What we offer
  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Top Tier benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Access to the best AI tools on the market and continuous AI skill-building for every employee, technical or not
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
