Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as the senior individual contributor accountable for the reliability, delivery and security of a production cloud platform. The work involves finding gaps in infrastructure and release processes, proposing fixes to senior leadership and carrying them through to measurable improvements.

What you'll do

- Review the infrastructure and deployment pipeline early on so that fixes are released safely and correctly.

- Identify reliability and delivery gaps, present a remediation plan to senior leadership and drive it to completion.

- Improve uptime and deployment speed in measurable ways without compromising security.

- Own service level objectives, incident response, observability and disaster recovery against a very high availability target.

- Secure the cloud and container orchestration environment and produce evidence for compliance audits and financial-sector regulatory frameworks.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in platform, infrastructure or reliability engineering.

- A proven record of designing and operating production systems, including ownership of core infrastructure, automation and deployment workflows.

- Experience owning production infrastructure security, including identity and access management, secrets, network policy and audit or compliance work, ideally in a regulated environment.

- Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript.

- Deep hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production on AWS, including service mesh and GitOps-based delivery.

- Track record of keeping systems available and dependable, using service-level targets and failure-budget thinking to guide decisions.

- Regular, deep use of modern AI coding tools in day-to-day work.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Bonus points

- Prior time at a smaller company in its formative years, ideally in a very early engineering role.
