Staff Software Engineer ($190K – $250K + Equity) at Stealth-stage healthtech AI startup

Company Description: Stealth-stage healthtech AI startup

Job Description:
As a Staff Product Engineer, you will architect a next-generation information platform from the ground up, replacing outdated legacy systems in mission-critical environments. You will own end-to-end production systems, designing fault-tolerant cloud architecture that handles high-concurrency real-time data to improve operational workflows and ensure 24/7 reliability for critical services.

Why this role is remarkable:

  • Lead a technical moonshot to rebuild foundational information infrastructure for complex, underserved enterprise environments from scratch.

  • Join a high-performance team at an early-stage startup backed by the most preeminent venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.

  • Solve elite technical challenges involving real-time data synchronization, hardware-to-software integration, and sophisticated clinical access control systems.

What you will do:

  • Architect and deploy modern, cloud-native infrastructure capable of managing high-stakes, real-time data with zero downtime.

  • Design complex integration engines to bridge software with physical hardware devices and critical monitoring equipment.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to transform heavy, manual processes into fast, intuitive, and modern digital experiences.

The ideal candidate:

  • 10+ years of professional experience with a track record of owning core production systems at high-caliber technology companies.

  • Proficient in both functional and object-oriented programming, with a strong willingness to master new languages for mission-critical reliability.

  • Proven ability to build from 0-1, applying first-principles thinking to solve novel engineering problems without existing precedents.
