About the Company

Our client is a seed-stage AI platform for private markets investors, built for private credit, private equity and commercial banking. It turns dense, unstructured deal materials into auditable, investment-grade analysis and memos in minutes, and teams using it evaluate deals more than 60% faster. Its customers include commercial banks and private credit funds. It has raised more than $29M from top investors, has roughly 25 to 35 employees and has an AI-native, lean culture. Revenue is growing faster than its five-person engineering team, so engineering hiring is the top priority.

About the Role

Own large parts of the AI platform end to end as an AI-native, full-stack generalist who makes every engineer around you better.

What You Will Do

Build hands-on across the full stack, from frontend and backend to database migrations, using AI agents to write and review the code.

Own large product areas end to end, such as the agent that builds investment-grade presentations and memos for finance teams.

Write technical design docs by hand and spend 10 to 20 percent of your time reviewing other engineers' designs and code.

Raise the bar on architecture, code quality and engineering practice across the team.

Work directly with customers, sales, customer success and product to turn the needs of finance professionals into shipped features.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Eight or more years of software engineering experience (seven is the absolute minimum), with clear promotions and progression.

A degree in computer science or an engineering field, and strong pedigree at top technology companies or startups, ideally both big tech and startup.

Truly AI-native: you build with coding agents day to day.

A proven record as a force multiplier, having led a product pillar or large infrastructure project and made senior engineers better.

Full-stack production experience with React or Next.js and Python or Node.js, Postgres and background job systems, and practical SOC 2 compliance experience.

A clear, specific reason for wanting an early-stage startup.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

$290,000-$340,000 base salary, higher for exceptional candidates, plus a 25% annual performance bonus, competitive equity and relocation support. Visa transfers are considered.

Location and Work Model

Full-time and hybrid in San Francisco.
