Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered 700+ million rides in 250+ cities on 5 continents, replacing an estimated 150+ million car trips. Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally.

We are seeking an exceptional Staff UX Designer to join our Rider Experience team. In this role, you’ll be a core contributor to our iOS and Android apps, in addition to contributing to our safety programs, city integrations, and monetization strategy. You’ll also partner with our hardware teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end product experiences. Your work will be seen and used by consumers all over the world, with hundreds of millions of impressions annually.

In addition to solid interaction and visual design skills, candidates should have experience identifying core user needs, crafting end-to-end user journeys and applying strategic thinking and business goals to designs. We also look for candidates who work well in a team, since you’ll be partnering closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.

What You'll Do:

  • Craft industry-leading user experiences—from early concepts and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and final design specifications—driven by user insights, business goals, and industry trends.

  • Contribute to and elevate our Design Systems, applying shared patterns to your work and evolving patterns to meet emerging needs.

  • Create a culture of user-centric design through best UX practices, leveraging and empowering UX Research and cultivating an environment of consistent experimentation, innovation and validation.

  • Define and set the creative vision of Lime’s Rider Experience on iOS and Android. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to shape features from conception until launch.

  • Collaborate with Lime’s hardware team to deliver full service design by creating experiences that delight users spanning software, hardware and the real world.

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality consumer-facing products across a variety of platforms and devices.

  • Deep expertise in mobile app design; preferred expertise in transportation or hardware-integrated products.

  • Proven ability to own and drive the strategic direction of complex end-to-end product design solutions.

  • A user-centered design approach informed by research, with a deep understanding of the user journey and context.

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with an ability to execute at a high level of aesthetic craft.

  • Highly proficient in Figma and comfortable iterating rapidly as ideas evolve. Bonus points for experience with advanced prototyping tools.

  • Experience participating in both foundational and evaluative research.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
