Sunnyvale Gardens Post-Acute is seeking a dedicated, full-time Staffing Coordinator / Scheduling Coordinator to manage our facility's nursing department schedules. This vital role ensures optimal daily staffing levels while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Schedule Creation: Prepare and maintain daily, bi-weekly, and monthly schedules for RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
- Shift Management: Fill open shifts, call-outs, and vacation requests promptly to ensure proper nursing-to-patient ratios.
- Compliance Tracking: Monitor labor hours to minimize unnecessary overtime while meeting state staffing mandates.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate attendance records, shift logs, and tracking systems within the scheduling software.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to anticipate future staffing gaps and hiring needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in scheduling or staffing, preferably within a skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care setting.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with electronic scheduling systems (e.g., OnShift, Smartlinx, or Kronos) and Microsoft Office.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively negotiate shifts and communicate changes with nursing staff.
- Organization: Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to stay calm and structured under pressure.
