The right Account Director at Cadence is responsible for developing and driving our strategy for adoption and growth of Cadence solutions for a strategic account. The role requires working in a large, worldwide team environment, leading a WW Account Executive (AX) and Account Technical Executive (ATX) team, leading and coordinating field Application Engineer resources and facilitating customer interactions between Cadence Marketing/Engineering/Executive Management. A successful candidate will be able to consult with executive decision makers (EVP and C-Suite), working collaboratively to bring innovative design flows to ensure customer success using a  Cadence product/IP/services portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring a team of high-performance AX and ATXs
  • Closely coordinating activities to maintain/build a robust sales pipeline and meet/exceed quarterly and annual booking targets.
  • Consulting with clients on design/system requirements and helping architect those requirements into a differentiated solution. Providing guidance to the customer on the technical and business benefits of Cadence’s offering including EDA software, IP, hardware and Design Services.
  • The ability to foster and grow customer relationships throughout all levels of the customer organization to better connect our solutions with the customer's problems/business challenges and ensure roadmap alignment for long term success.

Requirements:

  • BSEE/MSEE with 8+ years of experience in related field with proven track record of success.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical and/or engineering teams.
  • Design flow expertise and application related to the types of products in the Cadence product portfolio, including IC and System design.
  • Demonstrable soft skills that include exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; able to negotiate, influence, resolve conflicts and consult at senior and executive customer levels; partner with and advise customers on business issues, highly technical and complex solutions and integration challenges.
  • Strong cross organizational skills to advocate on the customer’s behalf to internal Cadence technical and business stakeholders to support the customer’s  situation and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of software, IP and business processes is mandatory
  • Previous experience as System Architect and/or Design Manager is a plus
