RETHINK MANUFACTURING

The only way to ignite change is to build the best team. At Bright Machines, we’re innovators and experts in our craft who have joined together to manufacture the AI and data center infrastructure at the edge. We believe unifying software, intelligent automation, and data is the answer to delivering quality and flexibility at scale. We deliver products to meet the demands of today while continuously investing in our Bright Factory model to take advantage of what comes next.

Working with us means you’ll have the opportunity to make lasting, impactful changes for our company and our customers. If you’re ready to apply your exceptional skills to a brighter way of manufacturing AI infrastructure, we’d love to speak with you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Strategic Finance Intern, you’ll work closely with Bright Machines’ finance team and senior leaders to turn financial and market data into decisions that support the company’s growth. You’ll contribute to investment analysis, forecasting, performance reporting, and investor relations while exploring practical ways to use AI to improve finance workflows. This is a hands-on opportunity to take on meaningful strategic projects and see how finance helps guide a fast-growing manufacturing business.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Investment & ROI analysis. Build the business cases behind major spend decisions — capex, new initiatives, and resourcing bets — quantifying the returns and trade-offs so leadership can decide with confidence.

    • Competitive & market analysis. Size the market, track competitors and comparable companies, and translate the findings into sharper pricing and a more compelling story for investors and leadership.

    • AI-driven finance innovation. Use AI to make our finance, strategic finance, and investor relations processes faster and better — building apps, skills, and workflows that the whole team can use.

    • Cash forecasting. Partner with key stakeholders and department heads across the business — including the head of operations and senior leadership — to manage capex inflows and outflows and understand the project timelines that drive our cash position.

    • Management reporting & insights. Help leadership decide which KPIs matter most to track, then dig into those results — along with revenue, margins, and spend — and present the findings and recommendations directly.

    • Investor relations. Help refine and maintain our investor financial model and shape the investor story — proving out our growth, margin trajectory, and unit economics with the numbers. Contribute to investor-facing materials and support ongoing investor communications.

    • Strategic projects. Identify where the business needs help and propose the projects to go after it, working with senior leadership and partnering cross-functionally across the company to drive real improvements.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

    • Hands-on experience at a company at a pivotal growth stage

    • Direct work with senior leadership and partnership with stakeholders across the company

    • Practical experience applying AI to real finance and investor relations work

    • Experience working inside a next-generation manufacturing company shaping AI infrastructure

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE

    • Currently pursuing an MBA

    • A background in FP&A, investment banking, or consulting

    • Strong financial modeling instincts
