  • Lead Block's infrastructure strategy, developing an economic model for technical and financial tradeoffs. Drive Block's infrastructure investment strategy that supports the growth and profitability goals of the business
  • Support the AI initiatives of Block, developing frameworks to measure success and leverage.
  • Drive core financial processes including quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and long-range planning
  • Manage a high-performing strategic finance team

  • Excellent problem solving skills and a track record of delivering results on corporate wide initiatives
  • The ability to distill complex information into clear problem statements that can be systematically analyzed and communicated; frames both approaches and solutions in a way that is actionable for all audiences
  • Comfort working with metrics, building new KPIs and navigating large data sets to find answers to complex problems
  • Track record of successful partnership with engineering organizations
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous workstreams and build processes from scratch
  • Managed and scaled finance organizations, including building and maintaining a high-performing team through hiring and coaching
