Job Description

Are you ready to drive strategic sourcing perfection and make a tangible impact on manufacturing operations?
 

Join us as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist and own the charge in developing and optimizing the procurement process focused in the CAPEX and MRO categories improving manufacturing efficiency and business continuity. 
 

Core Responsibilities  
 

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for capital expenditures and maintenance, repair, and operations categories ensuring alignment to global standards, cost efficiency, supplier quality, and operational continuity. 

  • Develop and optimize the procurement and inventory process by utilizing the systems and tools available, such as Coupa and SAP. Establish inventory control and governance process, balancing operational continuity, budgetary, and risk management objectives. 

  • Collaborate across operations, engineering, maintenance, other manufacturing sites and project management teams to align procurement tactics with technical and operational requirements.  

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, and negotiations. Negotiate commercial terms and contracts to optimize value and mitigate business risk. 

  • Partner with Global Procurement to lead supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and delivery reliability. Assisting with warranty claims, safety studies, and product liability investigations. 

  • Drive cost savings and value improvement through root cause analysis, strategic sourcing initiatives, and inventory strategies that support lifecycle strategies for critical assets and mitigate obsolescence risk. 

  • Support capital projects, factory investments, and operational procurement requirements. 

  • Conduct market analysis and risk assessments to identify opportunities and supply risks. Develop localized supplier and sourcing options when a global or regional option does not exist.

By leading sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationships, the department plays a vital role in maintaining operational continuity and supporting plant expansion projects. It focuses on strategic category management to optimize costs, improve supplier innovation, and mitigate supply risks, thereby giving to the overall business objectives. 
 

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be at the forefront of these efforts, aligning procurement activities with operational priorities and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your role will support the broader organization by ensuring reliable sourcing of critical equipment and services, reducing downtime, and enabling production reliability. By partnering closely with cross-functional teams, you will help develop procurement strategies that improve manufacturing performance and business continuity. 
 
Do you have what it takes? 

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management is preferred. Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, CAPEX, MRO, or manufacturing categories. 
 

Must Have: 
 

  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation. 

  • Knowledge of CAPEX procurement processes, industrial equipment sourcing, and MRO purchasing practices. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to demonstrate market intelligence and expenditure evaluation.  

  • Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar platforms. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools. 
     

Nice to Have: 
 

  • Supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments are strongly preferred. 

  • Leading supplier negotiations, contracts, and procurement projects is desired. 
     

Additional: 

  • Best of Both (3 days on-site & 2 days from home)  

  • Some minimal international travel will be required 

  • No relocation will be available 
     

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $93,989.00 - $140,983.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
