We are looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Planning Specialist based *on-site* in Sunnyvale, CA.

Job functions may include but are not limited to:

  • Supports and analyses monthly material estimates, forecast trends, deltas, cost growths.
  • Defines and develops material strategy.
  • Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements.
  • Supports GSC coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Program Management Office, Engineering, Operations, Business Management, etc..
  • Participates in buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
  • Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements.
  • Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.
  • Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
  • Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
  • Coordinates the creation and release of requisitions.
  • Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
  • Communicates with suppliers for lead times and delivery times.
  • Actively communicates and works to resolve challenges and mitigation requirements.
  • Supports and is responsible for communicating material status horizontally and vertically.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or business management.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

  • Experience with material demand and tracking material orders
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, including forecasts and VAR analysis
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience in supply chain, business management, or operations

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
