Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Project Manager. The role will be at the Santa Clara office and is 100% onsite (not remote or hybrid). There is not relocation assistance for this role.

Role Overview

As a key member of the Strategic Office, you will lead and execute high-impact programs and projects, such as capacity management and planning that drive business transformation across the global supply chain. This role requires a proactive, analytical, and collaborative professional who excels at managing complex initiatives, communicating with diverse stakeholders, and delivering actionable insights that shape strategic decisions.

  • Must have supply chain, procurement or sourcing experience
  • Must have experience influencing and presenting data to executive level.
  • Must have strong data analysis/reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Lead and manage multiple strategic projects and programs simultaneously, applying best-in-class methodologies to ensure successful delivery of outcomes, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Communication & Influence: Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels. Create impactful presentations using PowerPoint and facilitate meetings to drive consensus and decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with global and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and execution of strategic initiatives across Supply Chain, and other functions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging data insights and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced analytics tools (Excel, Databricks, Tableau etc.) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Develop reports that drive business performance.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Ensure all phases of project, program, and process development are documented. Disseminate information to relevant functional areas and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in program management, analytics, or related roles within a matrixed or global organization.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization), Databricks (or similar), PowerPoint (presentation design and storytelling); experience with Tableau, Power BI, or SQL preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and stakeholder management abilities.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
