We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your career by contributing to both PCB library management (40%) and electrical design (60%) within a collaborative R&D environment. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support the development of innovative electronics systems from concept through production.

About your role:

PCB Library Management (40%)

  • Maintain and update the Altium 365 PCB library, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Create component symbols, footprints, and 3D models.

  • Support component lifecycle management, including tracking obsolescence and sourcing alternatives.

  • Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure component compliance and availability.

Electrical Design (60%)

  • Assist in the design and development of mixed-signal electronic systems.

  • Capture schematics and support PCB layout activities.

  • Participate in component selection and design reviews.

  • Support prototype testing, troubleshooting, and design iteration.

  • Contribute to design documentation including specifications and test plans.

About you:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in electronics design (internships or co-op experience may count).

  • Familiarity with Altium Designer and Altium 365.

  • Understanding of mixed-signal design principles.

  • Experience with PCB component creation or library management is a plus.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Exposure to embedded hardware or firmware development.

  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).

  • Familiarity with high-power or line-voltage electronics.

  • Scripting experience (Python preferred).

  • Awareness of UL/cUL/CE standards and certification processes.
