The Controls Systems (CS) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization has an immediate need for a System Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to work on various Air Transport, Regional, Business and Military aircraft.
As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems to meet customer and business requirements. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Californian or Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of innovative system solutions that drive Honeywell’s competitive advantage and satisfy customer needs in a dynamic market environment.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for air and vapor cycle systems, including validation and verification of system level steady state requirements
- Conduct thermodynamic, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance.
- Definition of system and equipment level key performance and generation/ validation of associated requirements.
- Creation and maintenance of system level steady state models including run time performance optimization, model validation against component and system test data, and generation of model documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware and software components effectively
- Perform system validation, verification, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering Physics, or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering fields, with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis
- Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical field with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis, in lieu of experience

- Experience in systems modeling tools and software such as NPSS, SysML, MATLAB, or similar platforms for system analysis and design

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$131,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Control Systems
Control Systems provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
