NVIDIA is working to make GPU benchmarks more useful and relevant to end users. We want to hire an engineer to develop groundbreaking GPU performance benchmarks and to help make them run faster on NVIDIA hardware. If you join our team, you will continue to improve your skills with knowledge of various professional applications such as Creo, 3D Studio Max, Solidworks, as well as cutting-edge technologies such as GPU computing and generative AI. This is a dynamic area of technology, so you will have many opportunities to learn about state of the art applications. What you'll be doing:
- We are developing new techniques to benchmark professional GPU applications.
- A key part of your job will be to analyze the API work performed by the applications, and to isolate that work to build robust performance benchmarks.
- You will help us find creative ways to script the benchmarks to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
- You will also help design and implement new driver and hardware features to improve performance on these benchmarks. Collaborate with other outstanding NVIDIA engineers to make a difference in the industry!
What we need to see:
- Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with C and C++ development
- Familiar with source code control software such as Perforce or GIT
- Experienced with software development practices such as design and code reviews
- Comfortable developing software in the Windows 10 or Windows 11 environment
- Experienced with AI tools and enthusiasm for learning new ones
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Development of low-level systems software and experience with scripting tools such as Python or Perl
- Fundamentals of statistics, including variance analysis
- Developing software on other operating systems, such as Linux or OSX
- Experience with multiple CPU architectures
- The use of graphics APIs such as OpenGL or Direct3D
- GPU compute frameworks such as CUDA or OpenCL
- Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 178,250 USD for Level 1, and 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 2.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
