The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders within the Member Care organization, driving business outcomes through thoughtful, data-informed people strategies. This role partners closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities into proactive talent plans that strengthen organizational health, leadership effectiveness, and team performance. As a trusted partner, you will guide leaders through workforce planning, organizational design, change management, employee relations, and broader people related initiatives. You will balance strategic partnership with strong execution, ensuring people practices are aligned to business goals, driving key results.
This role directly supports the Member Care organization—our front-line, member-facing operations team of care coordinators, advocates, and specialists who support members with navigation, benefits, and day-to-day service needs—operates as a core member of the Talent & Organization (TAO) team, and reports to the Sr. Manager, Talent Partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Be a trusted partner to the Member Care organization, working with senior leaders to build talent and workforce plans that deliver business results.
- Build program infrastructure for repeatable employee experience processes and thought partnership for continuous improvement and new initiatives.
- Partner with Member Care leaders to support and execute transformation related to workforce planning and organizational design and progressive performance management best practices.
- Provide employee relations support to assist employees and leaders in resolving issues.
- Assess leadership and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide appropriate coaching and development feedback to leaders and team members.
- Partner with the HR People Analytics team to identify and interpret trends in complex data sets to tell a compelling story about our employees and inform decision-making across the company.
- Partner with the HR Operations and Benefits team to support leave programs and accommodations for assigned client teams.
- Partner with the broader TAO team to design, communicate and implement core HR systems and projects, from change management to goal-setting to engagement surveys, taking lead ownership for these processes related to assigned client teams.
- Experience partnering closely with Finance and Legal to align people decisions with budget, compliance, and risk considerations, translating guidance into pragmatic, employee-centered solutions for business leaders.

Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent related experience.
- At least 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience or other relevant work experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience supporting SVP+ level Executives.
- Expertise in engaging and supporting a dynamic, distributed (remote or multi-location) workforce.
- Strong experience with employee relations issues and workplace accommodations.
- Strong understanding and experience supporting a variety of employment types; exempt and non-exempt, part and full-time, employed and independent contractors.
- Strategic and empathetic thinker, quick to recognize challenges and their real and potential impact on employees.
- Perceptive and thoughtful in identifying issues and developing appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with leaders and employees at all levels, tailoring messages to the audience while using data and sound judgment to influence decisions and navigate sensitive situations.
- Strong collaboration skills, ability to build trust, and provide effective coaching.
- Maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive matters with empathy and thoughtfulness, initiative, and enthusiasm to contribute in a high-demand environment.
- Ability to travel at least once per quarter - additional travel may be required depending on business needs.
- Experience in a healthcare organization, supporting member facing roles strongly preferred.
Pay:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $98,540 – $129,000 per year in the United States. This posted range reflects the portion of our internal salary band that is currently funded for new hires in this role across our standard labor markets (Zones A–C).
For context, these markets include Zone A (e.g., Phoenix AZ, San Antonio TX, Columbus OH, Charlotte NC), Zone B (e.g., Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA, Houston TX), and Zone C (e.g., Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA, Washington, D.C., Boston MA). At this time, we are not budgeting for hires in higher-cost Zone D markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City NY, San Jose CA) for this role. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and internal equity. We use structured salary bands and geographic zones based on cost of labor to keep pay fair and consistent.

Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
