The Opportunity
The Tax Analyst will support the foreign tax provision process, working closely with the tax team to prepare, maintain, and roll forward key provision workpapers. This role requires strong Excel skills, along with attention to detail and comfort managing recurring, structured deliverables across multiple entities. Exposure to Tableau, Workday, and AI tools is a plus but not required.
What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Assist in the preparation of the foreign tax provision, including quarterly and annual computations

  • Roll over provision workbooks period-over-period, ensuring accuracy and consistency across cycles

  • Add new legal entities to the provision workpaper as the entity structure evolves

  • Prepare Uncertain Tax Position (UTP) workpapers, including documentation supporting tax positions

  • Prepare tax account rollforward workpapers, reconciling beginning and ending balances across periods

  • Prepare purchase accounting workpapers, and support in integration assessment

  • Use Tableau and Workday as needed to support data preparation and reconciliation (training provided)

  • Collaborate with broader tax and accounting teams to ensure timely, accurate provision close

You're Our Person If...

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or a related analytical role (foreign tax provision experience a plus)

  • Strong proficiency in Excel required (advanced formulas, pivot tables, workbook linking)

  • Familiarity with Tableau and/or Workday a plus, not required

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring workpaper cycles with accuracy

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple entities/deadlines simultaneously

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $99,400 - $150,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $118,900 - $163,500 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
