Technical Account Manager

(Reports to: Sr. Director of Customer Enablement)

 
Role Summary

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a trusted partner to SewerAI customers, helping them maximize value from PIONEER, AutoCode, and related services. This role blends customer advocacy, operational support, and technical guidance. The TAM resolves day-to-day operational questions, triages lower-level technical issues, and ensures customers are successful in adopting SewerAI’s platforms.

In addition, the TAM collaborates with the Professional Services (ProServe) team on scoped projects at the direction of leadership and represents SewerAI at industry trade shows and customer-facing events. This role sits within the Customer Enablement team and directly impacts customer adoption, satisfaction, and retention.

 
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Advocacy & Support
  • Serve as the primary operational and technical contact for customer inquiries.

  • Triage and resolve lower-level technical issues, escalating to Support or Engineering when needed.

  • Document customer interactions and resolutions in Pylon, ensuring visibility across Enablement, Support, and Account Management.

  • Maintain high standards of responsiveness, professionalism, and customer experience.

Technical Enablement & Guidance
  • Respond to operational and general technical support requests via Pylon ticketing system.

  • Provide workflow and best-practice guidance to improve daily platform usage.

  • Partner with Account Managers and Account Executives to ensure customer technical needs are addressed.

  • Support customer onboarding and training initiatives where needed.

On-Site Training & Field Enablement
  • Travel on-site to train CCTV inspection crews on installing, configuring, and operating SewerAI software on truck-based hardware.

  • Train city/utility staff and back-office personnel on PIONEER workflows relevant to their day-to-day job.

  • Troubleshoot on-site connectivity and hardware/software integration issues in the field.

  • Adjust communication style and technical depth to the audience: field crews, city engineering staff, and back-office personnel each require different framing of the same underlying work.

Professional Services (ProServe) Collaboration
  • Assist with ProServe projects, such as customer training and workflow consultations, at leadership’s direction.

  • Contribute to building repeatable processes and resources that improve ProServe delivery.

  • Provide operational and technical expertise during scoped engagements.

Trade Shows & Events
  • Represent SewerAI at industry trade shows and events.

  • Support demos, booth operations, and customer/prospect engagement.

  • Capture event feedback and assist with lead and customer follow-up.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Support, and Engineering to deliver a seamless customer journey.

  • Share customer feedback and insights to help improve product, training, and processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Background in the sewer/wastewater inspection industry.

  • Strong background with NASSCO (standards, certifications, or working knowledge of NASSCO-based inspection data).

  • Experience with data workflows tied to CCTV sewer inspection work.

  • Strong understanding of GIS.

Preferred

  • Experience troubleshooting and configuring CCTV sewer inspection hardware.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000- $100,000

  • Up to $120,000 OTE
