Job Overview:

Perficient is a Databricks Gold partner with six Brickbuilder specializations, working toward Platinum. As a Technical Architect, you are the hands-on expert who wins the technical argument and then makes the solution real. You design and demo the architectures behind our signature plays, support pursuits with the GTM Architect and client partners, and stay billable on strategic engagements. You also turn what you learn into reusable accelerators.

Responsibilities
  • Win the technical decision. Lead architecture workshops, proofs of value and demos with client and Databricks field SAs. Build and maintain one reference demo per signature play (Stars AI Navigator, Regulatory Compliance, Demand & Inventory, Predictive Maintenance, Churn & Ad Monetization).

  • Lead migrations. Run legacy DW-to-Lakehouse assessments and deliveries using our Agentic Migration Factory and Databricks’ Lakebridge tooling.
  • Scope the ladder. Define technical scope, assumptions and consumption forecasts for Bronze through Platinum offers. Give each deal registration a credible DBU estimate.
  • Stay billable. Provide senior technical leadership on strategic client engagements, with architecture reviews, governance standards and mentoring.
  • Productize. Build and publish reusable accelerators, reference architectures and Brickbuilder-ready assets. Give Databricks structured product feedback.
  • Raise the bar. Lead the certification sprint, mentor delivery teams and act as a Databricks Champion in the field.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years in data and analytics architecture, with 5+ hands-on on Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows/Jobs, Spark optimization).
  • Databricks Professional-level certification (Data Engineer, ML or GenAI), or a commitment to earn one in 90 days.
  • Delivery of multiple production Databricks programs on AWS, Azure or GCP, ideally including a legacy DW migration.
  • Hands-on agentic and GenAI experience (RAG, Agent Bricks, evaluation and governance), and exposure to Databricks Apps.
  • Consulting-grade communication: you can whiteboard with a CDO in the morning and debug a pipeline in the afternoon.
  • Depth in at least one priority industry (BFSI or HLS preferred).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be independent and self-driven.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must be open to travel.
