Genesys is seeking a highly driven Adaptive Planning Technical Lead to serve as the lead architect of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform. This role is responsible for designing, scaling, and governing the enterprise planning ecosystem.  The successful candidate will serve as the technical expert for Adaptive Planning, providing best-in-class and scalable solutions while ensuring smooth operation of Genesys’ Adaptive Planning instances, system integrations. 

  

In this role, you will work with the Planning Product Owner as the technical counterpart to the product function, translating roadmap and requirements into a robust, high-performing system architecture.  You will also work with business analysts, and key stakeholders to analyze current state needs and challenges, identify improvement and automation opportunities, design and implement complex planning models/integrations, and participate in proof-of-concept efforts to support new product capabilities within Genesys (out-of-the-box and custom). 

Location: Fully remote within U.S.

  

Some details about what you’ll do: 

  • Define and own the overall architecture of the Adaptive Planning platform 
  • Design, develop and configure accurate planning models within Genesys’ Adaptive Planning instances, ensuring consistency in design standards, preventing model sprawl and duplication of logic 
  • Establish and enforce platform governance and modeling standards to ensure long-term maintainability of platform 
  • Ensure the platform supports driver- based, integrated planning 
  • Work with Product Owner to guide stakeholders through design and configuration decisions based on best practices 
  • Build and manage integrations between Adaptive Planning instances and other external systems ensuring seamless data flow 
  • Design and Administer platform security for multi-instance planning environment, leveraging latest product features 
  • Monitor system performance and health, implementing necessary enhancements to maintain optimal performance 
  • Build and troubleshoot Advanced Reports within Workday and set up custom calculation fields 
  • Develop standardized dashboards and Web/OfficeConnect reports and templates 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures 
  • Be a subject matter expert and train teammates/business personnel as needed.  
  • Create user guides to support effective use of adaptive planning tools and best practices 
  • Ensure systems and processes comply with ITGC & SDLC standards in both development and support activities 
  • Write test scripts supporting QA / SIT / UAT / E2E / Performance 
  • In an Agile environment, work with the Product Owner and other team members to refine user stories and tasks 

  

Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Planning (EPM/CPM) systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning or similar tools (Oracle EPBCS, Hyperion Planning, Anaplan) with 5+ years of Adaptive Planning implementation supporting medium to large enterprises 
  • Proficient with Adaptive REST APIs, JavaScript, SQL 
  • Prior experience building/modifying staging tables, custom cloud loaders 
  • Proven experience in Workday Data Management or CCDS integrating different source systems (Workday FINS/HCM, Salesforce, Snowflake, etc.) 
  • Deep understanding of multidimensional model design, driver-based planning, and performance optimization 
  • Prior experience with multi-currency models and reporting 
  • Ability to solve highly complex problems by working with cross-functional teams within IT and business across different regions 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change effectively 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities 
  • Self-motivated and able to work on critical tasks independently and as a member of a team 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Workday Adaptive Planning Pro Certification 
  • Experience integrating between Workday (HCM/FINS), Snowflake, and Salesforce with Adaptive Planning 
  • Prior experience in Workforce Planning, Financial Planning, and Operational Planning 
  • Complete at least 4-5 full-cycle implementations of Workday Adaptive Planning 
  • Experience working within an Enterprise Planning CoE or product-based operating model 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$111,300.00 - $195,700.00
